As a member of Forestpark Community Church, I commit to the following:
- I am first and foremost committed to Jesus Christ, and I will continually place my trust in His life, death and resurrection. My life is gladly His (John 3:16; Philippians 1:21).
- My desire and goal is to grow in my faith in Christ. I am committed to living out the “new life,” given to me by Christ and I am resolved to make the values of God’s Kingdom my own values (Romans 6:1-11; Matthew 6:10).
- I am fully committed to upholding FPCC’s vision to reach disconnected Christians and unchurched people.
- I will seek to exalt the Lord in all I do.
- I will equip others at FPCC to grow as followers of Jesus, and I will seek out others to equip me as well.
- I will pray for and seek out opportunities to reach the lost and unchurched.
- I will seek to advance the Kingdom of God in my own life, my family, at FPCC, and in the city of Louisville.
- I will pray for and follow the leadership at FPCC, insofar as they follow the Lord and His Word.
- I am committed to the Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God. I am committed to a personal study of the Bible and a communal study of the Bible with my FPCC family.
- I affirm the “FPCC Articles of Faith” (See the back of this document).
- I will participate in community and friendship at FPCC. I desire Christian friendships, where followers of Jesus – encourage each other, counsel each other from a biblical perspective, suffer and rejoice alongside each other, and hold each other accountable to Christian living.
- I will steward what God has given me by serving Him and FPCC. This includes serving with my time, financial resources, talents, abilities and spiritual gifts.
- I will exercise my privilege as a member of FPCC to attend “Member Meetings,” and I will, in love and wisdom, share my input regarding church matters.
